Why joints draw so much attention in regenerative medicine

Cartilage does not heal well on its own. It has no blood supply of its own, which means injuries and wear accumulate over time. A realistic treatment picture

For a well-selected candidate, a regenerative treatment for joint pain is typically a guided injection performed in the clinic, followed by a recovery period of several weeks. Improvement, when it comes, builds gradually over weeks to months. Physical therapy and strength work are usually part of the plan, because a stronger joint is a more stable joint.
